Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge 2009 at Blue Star Jets Field kicked off opening day on July 18th, 2009. The extremely exclusive and invitation-only VIP tent hosted a number of A-listers including Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford, who was celebrating his 24th birthday , Kourtney Kardashian with boyfriend Scott Disick, Desperate Housewives’ Kyle MacLachlan, Beth Ostrosky, Star Jones, Real Housewives of New York City’s Jill Zarin and her family, co-chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios Ben Silverman, actor Sebastian Stam and the reigning Prince of Polo, Nacho Figueras.

July 18th, 2009: Star Jones might have become infamous for her over-the-top wedding to Al Reynolds, but the famous television personality might not be as high-maintenance as she seems. Star was spotted outside the VIP tent at the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge 2009 at Blue Star Jets Field bragging about the dress she was sporting and its $20.00 price tag. July 18th, 2009: Though the season finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s showed Kourtney breaking up with boyfriend Scott Disick, the two were seen arriving at the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge 2009 at Blue Star Jets Field together and looking cozy under the VIP tent. This summer’s matches promise to be some of the most exciting in the sport of polo. The sport’s greatest athletes will compete for one of polo’s most treasured prizes. Returning as well will be some of the East End’s most high-profile and influential audience of VIPs, celebrities and media.
The season commenced on Saturday, July 18th with a match-up between Certified and Cinque Terre/Heathcote and will continue for six consecutive Saturdays, ending August 22nd.

Season partners include: Mercedes-Benz, Piaget, Blue Star Jets, Coca-Cola, Stoli Elit, Riva Yachts, and OPTYX by gruen.
Polo Ralph Lauren returns this summer as the exclusive apparel retailer with an onsite shop at the Bridgehampton Polo matches. Evocative of the spirit and heritage of Polo, the shop will feature Ralph Lauren’s Black Watch collection and The World of Polo Fragrance. Spectators visiting the Ralph Lauren shop will have a great view of the polo matches and be able to enter to win a Polo lesson with Black Watch team member Nacho Figueras. Polo Ralph Lauren became an official sponsor of the Black Watch Polo team in 2007, providing apparel created exclusively for the polo players.

A portion of proceeds from the Mercedes-Benz Bridgehampton Polo Challenge will go to South Fork Breast Cancer Coalition. The VIP tent will host an invitation-only cocktail reception for exclusive guests each Saturday afternoon during the tournament. Matches will take place from 4PM to 6PM.
